Winter Time At Badger and Blade

Winter Time at Badger and Blade

The Mess Hall Edition

full

The winter season brings with it the holidays, as well as hearty meals we all love, remember, and still cook for our families today. The team would love to hear what meals you love to cook when coming in from a cold winters day, and what family traditional dishes you look forward to all year long. There will be plenty of recopies come up for the holiday season, so lets all get excited and share what we love most about the winter kitchen.

Explorer all of B&B as winter has hit almost the whole forum
and there is a lot more to catch up on around town

I’m stumped
We are just coming into BBQ season here in NZ.
My favourite winter meal would be a Roast Leg of Lamb with Roast veg.
Spike the Lamb with juniper berries, garlic & season.
Roast Veg is Potatoes, yams (these are small about 50mm /2in long), small onions, pumkin & kumara (a NZ sweet potato).
finished off with a gravy.

Chili, stew, almost anything that keeps my slow cooker busy is a okay with me this season... not to mention any recipe's that could use a shot of whisky

Last year for the holidays I went to rockvipers place, and man his SWMBO has some great buns that they shared with me

Cold weather and the holiday season always bring on my home made egg noodles and even better, my father donuts! Both recipes my grandmother.
