Extra soft ink?

I just purchased a bottle of Pelikan Edelstein Ink. I noticed on the back that it says extra soft ink. Any idea what this is?

It's the opposite of the hard stuff. :scared:

Seriously, that's peculiar. I have no idea where they are going with that.

Any native German speakers who might know what German word may have been translated soft and other ways to translate it?

John and I have a pelikan contact now... ill ask him for you

Thank you much...

Mention that they better not EVER discontinue the Topaz. It has to be one of my favorite true blue inks.

Actually it's twofold, that ink has an additive for piston fillers, which in turn bonuses out to give a soft gentle writing feel.

Soft in German is "weich", so a soft boiled egg is "ein weiches Ei"....no clue what soft means for ink -

If I spilled ink on the cat, soft or not, SWMBO would have my hide up on this board for use as a strop. The psycho kitty would not care a bit. Spilling ink on the floor isn't something I can contemplate without therapy and/or a really good scotch.
