Is buying one of these things worth it? I have seen so many over time that have deteriorated because of the scales. I am worried that if I do buy a mint one that it will over time deteriorate as well....dammit what do I do they look so nice! Do any of you guys have knowledge about these razors?

Dark colored scales should hold up fine. It's the light colored stuff that rots.

Dang, that's a toss up. Check them from the top, aging cell scales will sometimes warp before they start gassing.
That is a very nice razor. I would be tempted. If it did start to go, a good resto guy could make scales identical to those and transfer the shields.

yeah now you can see my pickle. Beautiful razor but I couldn't bare to see it rot
