The "Not Gillette" Vintage DE Thread

The vintage non-Gillettes just keep piling up in my shave cave -- I'm not sure how that is happening!
This post is a two-fer: a Clix clone (or unbranded Clix or who knows what?) and a unusual French SOS razor.
Does anyone have any information about either of these razors?

Your SOS razor has the same style handle as mine, but mine has an old type style head.

I haven't found any information on them though.

I've seen this collection somewhere, it's not mine but someone I know on a French forum. He says he "knows nothing about SOS, except for the blade he found with it".

SOS is not uncommon here in France, I often find cases but way less SOS branded razors. I happened to have a very similar razor in a "Printania" case :

And I know I have an SOS box with a no-name razor inside somewhere...

Very interesting, Cha-wing!!, there is no S.O.S brand, but the 1356 is the same. I guess that is not a serial number! Thanks for the info and the pictures.

Velvet Edge Angle ,made in Canada, don't think it was part of the Velvet line made in Birmingham in the 1930s. I have one blade that has a crack so I've never tried to shave with it . Don' have the booklet

Now that is a cool razor. Did you find it in Canmore?? The last time I was there there was nothing to be found. Great Hunting. Enjoy your adventure

Not sure if I posted this yet, but I'm not going back through the whole thread to see.

My three piece Matador.

Pay no attention to the vintage Progress...

This is a Landauer Chrome OC that arrived today. Was searching for a vintage brush handle and found this razor, Ever-Ready brush and old blades. I was disappointed that the nice uncommon shave brush had a crack, but loving this razor.

The razor does not look used, or very lightly used.

I think this is a vintage razor but not sure when it was made.Have searched and looks like people regard them as good shavers and this one is in great shape. Got it for a great price too.

I don't know.

Will use it soon at least once.

I've had it for a long time. Is just too pretty to use.

It looks like for all intents and purposes it would shave like a tech.
