Crockers shoes

Anybody heard of these shoe makers? I've Googled to no avail. They are one of my favourite pairs. They have a really nice chestnut colour (which doesn't really show up in the pic) The label says "CROCKERS, Glastonbury, Wells and Street. Thanks in advance for any info.
