What's new

Weber Lovers, Unite!

I've not found the Weber to be lacking or missing anything.

Same here. The Weber may have a more utilitarian look than the Feather or the Pils, but personally I like that look. In the end, though, it's the shave that counts (and, in Transylvania, the count that shaves).

Muhle makes the Edwin jagger razors and the handles to look the same so it's a plastic body with a chrome plating.

The chrome plating on Mühle and Jagger heads clearly has to be applied to some kind of metal. I suppose it's pot metal, but it might be brass. (Does anyone know for sure?)

Question, can the weber handle go on a old type Gillette head?

Yes, both the Classic and the Bulldog handle fit on an Old Type.

In any event this weber bulldog razor is on my rad list for sure. Looking forward to compare it to my feather.

I use a spent blade (minus the edges, of course -- use a sharp scissors to cut along the lines as shown in the picture). It's easy, and you get fine control over the thickness of the shim. I started out with a one-blade shim; now I'm up to three, and that seems to be optimal for me.

I did not realize blades could be cut with scissors..makes perfect sense!
