Dropped My Razor

I just dropped my Ikon SK9 using it during my shave. I'm depressed and somewhat irate at my stupidity; I should've dried my hands before handling it. My only consolation is that it can handle being dropped on a procelain sink, I hope.

No it didn't. It dropped for the first time. Everything looked even after the drop.

Yep, it should be able to handle it. It happens.

Dry hands while shaving? Hmmm. Mine are usually wet and soapy.

It should be able to handle being dropped into a sink. A base metal/chrome plated new razor wouldn't crack (I don't think) and a vintage razor, many years old, was probably dropped sometime in its past--and survived. So relax.

At the recommendation of others, I periodically wet my fingers on an alum block to get a better grip on the razor. It works.

Sounds like a tough razor!

I just had the same thing happend with my new Muhle Grande. Except it dropped on my tile floor and the chrome chipped off the top. Third shave...oh well.

If they are as solidly built as thu claim, it should be fine.

I've dropped pieces of my EJ DE89L, but never when it was assembled.

dropped my barber pole a couple of times, always more worried about the sink. dont think anything could hurt this razor

Dropped a 1912 while moving razor rack it broke the door/ blade holder right off , hit the slate floor .
