I say to learn to do it yourself. If future problems arise then you can handle them. Plus I find sharpening knives to be relaxing along with shining my boots/ dress shoes. (I am 23 and most of my friends think I am crazy, plus my mom thinks I am a 60+ year old man trapped in a 23 year olds body. haha.)

I totally agree! I was a commercial fisherman and spent many an hour sharpening blades on a stone. Very relaxing. I was popular at my buddies' homes when I would come over and sharpen all their knives. Dull knives are dangerous!
