A Montblanc (one word) boutique or authorized dealer is the best. There are no deep discounts available anywhere and I think they watch any online sales very closely (no prices). I do know PenBoutique is an authorized dealer but I would go to a store myself and pick my Montblanc up personally.
You can find Mont Blancs at any number of on line stores. If they offer a discount they cannot display the price which is why you often see the notation to e-mail for price. I like Farney's in D.C.
Other than folks here giving you a few places to check, Montblanc does not authorize retailers to sell over the internet in the USA/Canada
This is directly from their FAQ:
Montblanc only authorises the sale of products via the Internet through selected dealers. If you buy Montblanc products on the Internet from other dealers, we cannot guarantee their authenticity and cannot issue the product guarantee usually offered. A list of authorised dealers is available from our Service Centre.
USA/Canada:
With the exception of our refill products on the official Montblanc Refill Shop Website in the USA and Canada, Montblanc does not authorize the sale of our products. If you buy Montblanc products on the Internet, we cannot guarantee their authenticity or issue the product warranty usually offered.
Unless you get papers from a boutique or jewelery store, you have no way of really telling.
Remember if you do get one from an authorized dealer, go to the warranty booklet and have them stamp it or sign it (or whatever they do).
You will need that for proof of purchase for your warranty.
