Yesterday, I enjoyed an excellent shave with my PAL adjustable and one of my recently acquired Personna 74 blades, and was looking forward to a week or two in Injectorland. Today, I moved that blade (which I have done before) into a type G, but it wouldn't cut. So, then I moved it to a type E, but it still wouldn't cut. Then I moved it to a type D, but it still wouldn't cut. Then I put it back in the PAL, and it still refused to cut. By this time, I figured I had dulled the blade with all of the finagling, so I loaded a fresh blade into the PAL, and it still wouldn't cut.
I have used all of these razors before, so I know they work properly, and I took the blade that I figured was dull and put some nice clean slices in the edge of a piece of paper -- so it wasn't dull after all.
What's going on here?
