Check out this nice Weekender i picked up, its in pretty good shape.

Weekender New Silver Gillette Variant travel set made by Metalfield L.I. New York with the powder tube, clothes brush, mirror, leather case and the very rare silver the New Gillette razor with common handle.

Curious what is something like this Worth in this shape, Comlete set ?

Yeah, that one's with a hurting Tech, though. I've seen several of these on the 'bay in the last couple weeks. Someone must've found a crate of them somewhere.

I have four of them, including an oddball model in which the top is hinged on the end. They seem to come with all sorts of Gillettes, including a nickel plated New. Most are NIB, like most of the other gift sets, although some are quite used. The brush holders are usually cracked but superglue works on them. I have one which came with a box of shave soap sticks for the other container.

For some reason I think these older sets are really neat and if checking a suitcase on a flight, I try to take one for nostalgia.

Hi Amish, That's is what i paid, but not asking what i paid for, just asking what it went for more or less, Ive seen these around for a while know, but never one in this good Condition, So i jumped on it, just want to make sure i didn't over pay for it, but either way, 2 months went by and didn't see on this good, Include the Common Bar Handle in Silver which i think its something you don't see often, i see the gold one a lot but not the Silver Common bar handle to much.. but i'm glad i got it into My Collection :001_smile

Hehe. Yes, that one looks a tad overpriced, and the other maybe a bit underpriced. The first is a New Deluxe milady and wasn't titled as such. The second is a new head. To my knowledge, they never came with that head.

I'm just happy that coral didn't go beyond reasonable. I went over budget this month. Well, the problem is there is no budget so over budget is when I start wondering about the mortgage. :wink2:
