Same chisel I honed earlier in the week. Touched it up this time on a Rosy Red.

Do you yet have any thoughts on why they were called Rosy Red?
Not really. It does have sort of a red tint to it but not any more than some of my other washitas. The biggest difference is how pure the RR is. There's no air pockets, fissures, or any other blemishes that I can see. It's the same quality that you'd expect from any vintage Lily White.

I just finished touching up this Boker on a piece of a thuri. I have quite a few Eschers and thuris but I could live happily ever after with just this little guy. It's 4x 1 3/4.. cut from a broken 8" stone.

Just finished up with these Wusthof's on a dreamy jnat. Every time I get this stone out I have to make myself put it up. Good stuff.

Experimenting with a Purple Llyn Melynllyn for this Torrey and 1u lapping film for the Akamatsu to bring some extra sharpness up off the Coticule:
