LOVE me some 2nds. Like you say, same smoke, half price and most times, imperceptible to anyone but the house' s own QA people. Could be something as simple as the shade of the wrapper. My humidor is probably 50% or more 2nds and overruns. Personally, I don't smoke the bands.

LOL. Actually I bought those centurions over a year ago. Not one of them had an even close to even burn. Tasted fine but because I'm always evening up the burn with my lighter I'd have to say that overall I am not a fan.
I've reverted to only smoking them while on the move (golf, bow practice and golfing)
I've heard recently that it's all about the burn. ;-)

Yesterday

I enjoyed a nice Oliva Series V this morning on the way to work.

It doesn't get much better than this IMHO.
