Hi Everyone,
Just discovered that the Aeropress coffee maker makes an excellent bacon grease strainer/filter. Cooked up a pound of bacon last night and poured the grease into a dish to harden. I'll save it for cooking but was wondering if I should have strained it. I've seen containers with built in screens for this but don't have on. I do have an Aeropress though that makes an excellent cup of coffee. After brewing my morning cup I said, what the heck and heated up the grease in the microwave until it was nice and free flowing again. Poured it in, depressed the plunger and out came the crystal clear grease.
Pretty exciting for a Saturday morning, huh.
