Simmons Howe

I have a Simmons Howe Co. razor it has the number 3 on the blade and also U.S.A. and has an ivory handle it was my uncles razor and he left it with me when he died. I was talking to my dad who is 89 years old and he said it was their dads razor. I know nothing about straight razors and was wondering if someone could tell me if it is that old and is it worth cleaning up and trying to use. I tried looking it up on the review page but did not find anything on S&H.

I would say that as long as the blade can be made to shave than save.
And I just rhymed.

Please post some pictures, you will get much more info from the members of the straight shaving community.

Dude, your grandad's razor? I've said this before, if it's in good nick, go right ahead and get it restored, Heirloom peices are MEANT to be saved in my opinion
