Balm or splash - which to apply first?

I do:

1. Cold water rinse
2. Alum block wetted with cold water, rubbed over recently shaved face
3. Wipe off alum residue with witch hazel after a few minutes of using the alum
4. Alcohol-based aftershave splash
5. Moisturizing cream

Chris

1- Cold water splash
2- Witch hazel (Thayer's AS) or wetted alum block
3- Light application of balm
4- AS splash

I find my face gets tacky/oily faster if I apply the balm last. I also find I lose a lot of the splash scent if I put the balm over it.
