What's new

Brush Picture Thread?

Apologies if this has been done before and I'm not seeing it, but what the heck. I love looking at pictures of peoples brushes because, well... I'm lame like that.

Whether it's pictures of your entire collection or individual brushes, post them up here. I think this could be a good resource for people in the market for new brushes, or those that just like to drool over other folks' gear! If you have more than one, side by side pictures would be awesome as a basis of comparison for gents in the market for a new brush. Be sure to let us know which brush your picture is of.

If this is a dumb idea, I promise my feelings won't be hurt

  • Men-u Synthetic

A Merkur Straight Metal Handled Brush for the Futur Razor—and I have to give a shoutout of thanks to fellow B&B member Chevyguy for guiding me in repairing it:

and finally a travel brush from the online vendor, Royal Shave:

...and that's it. Some folks would say it's two brushes two many, some might say it's three too many, while others (likely to be found here ) are shaking their heads and wondering why I don't have more. You can't please everybody, but you can please yourself, and I'm very happy with these brushes.

Apart from the plisson, I'm guessing you're an ivory guy

Vintage Vulfix Hyde Park 514, Omega 21047, Men-u Pure Bristle, 1949 Kent KS7, Virtual Village Silvertip

( The Men-u and Virtual Village are now gone )

I've got these five.
The first is a Shavemac 311 (in horn, silvertip). Next is a Cerrus boar brush.
Then there's my Kent BK4 and a Cerrus pure badger brush.

The next pic is a pure badger brush by hjm - which is quite a performer.

As you may tell I'm quite a soap guy.

Here we go again...kinda boring picture but too lazy to rearrange them let alone to take a picture of the remaining 130....:001_cool:

After a trip across the Atlantic from Portugal, latest arrival in my mailbox.
Thought to do a quick rinse in dilute shampoo/water mixture, then rinse and let air dry.

Hey, let's try a quick lather test, after all a boar needs a break in period.
This baby lathers quite nicely, with drugstore VDH Deluxe no less!. A Semogue 1305 BTW.
