I have been using the only DE that I have, an Edwin Jagger DE with an Edwin Jagger pure badger brush the blade was an Astra SP (4th shave on the blade and it is still good enough for at least 2 more shaves). The soap used was Colonel Conk's Bay Rum, with Pinaud's VIBR after shave. I got one of the Edwin Jagger shaving sets and I have been very happy with it so far. I get very good shaves, I have not drawn blood, and there is no burn when applying after shave so I am not scraping a layer of skin from my face like I did with those plastic disposables.

Went the inexpensive route today, Concord with a Lord Super Stainless. Not bad, needed some extra work below the jawline.

Mühle R41(2011 Head) with a Thai Gillette Super Thin. Good two pass shave on two day growth with one oops that obliges me to pass along a caveat. The R41 is very talkative with this blade but not always truthful. Whenever an R41 seems to be asking you to apply just a bit more pressure, DO NOT ADD MORE PRESSURE! If you add more pressure, you will only hear the razor giggle as you start looking for your alum block.
