Tried something new: mild razor and then aggressive one. Just a quick two passes, EJ89 first, and then put the same Gillette 7 O'Clock yellow in the R41. Fantastic shave. It occurred to me that the more aggressive razors are only somewhat smooth on second and third passes, and maybe that's the key somehow. Whatever it is, it sure worked today! Comfortable and very close shave.
