What kind of badger hair is this?

Hello,

I picked up this brush in Paris a few months ago..., not knowing anything about different types of badger hair and such, I picked this one because it looked kind of nice.

I only found this forum and a bunch of other info on the web while looking for cleaning instructions for shaving brushes, but after reading some of the material now I'm kind of curious to know what kind of brush mine is?

I don't remember being told at the time I bought it and I don't have the original wooden box it came in, so I was hoping someone could tell from the pics.

European grey badger.

It appears to be a Plisson brush

which is also available with grey badger hair. Plisson is the parent company of Joris, the name on the base of your brush.

So is Grey European kind of the same as "super badger" performance/quality wise?
