I’ve added another field watch, this time a Bulova Military Heritage Veteran’s Watch Making Initiative Watch. I played with the idea of a third Khaki Field from Hamilton, but, I wanted stronger Lume.

The artist definitely went for bigger than normal heads. I understand that is a style.

The Ray has arrived. I went back to the jewelers to swap the Hirsch croco strap or this Rios band. The Hirsch one looked a bit too dressy for the watch. This is a fine fit. I'm not 100 percent convinced that this size is doable for my skinny wrist. Will wear it today, but might send it back and look for another seiko mod. I think I like the size and style of the old Submariner better than this. Perhaps it just takes some getting used to.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this but anyone have any experience with Coolfire Solar Charger? I have read where folks put the watch on it for hours. Myself im wondering about overheating the watch. I recently got one but after a half hour or so it gets warm and I get paranoid.
