I found this W&B in the wild yesterday, at first I thought the scales were horn, but once I got home and cleaned them up, I realized they are leather. I'm assuming the original scales have been replaced along the way but am curious if anyone has seen original leather scales on a W&B.
I have seen one razor on the net that was a W&B with what looked like new leather scales. From the pins in your scale, I'm leaning towards believing these being original or at least very old scales.
Look original to me - I have three razors in my collection what have exactly that type of leather scales.
No experience of W & B directly -
But I have 2 Sheffields (a Jonathan Pitchford and a Slack and Grinold) and a Swede (F.W. Soderen)
The Sheffield razors are probably 1860-1880s - not sure about the Swede
