Ever heard of it? Not me. Seems to have been invented up on the Red River (border river between Texas & Oklahoma). Looks pretty good. One quart of brisket drippings will be hard to come by though. I guess I better get started.

Spicy Brown Gravy Sauce1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup warm water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 quart of smoked brisket drippings
1 tbsp cayenne pepper

Salt and black pepper to taste

I've never heard of it Aaron, and I've been living about 5 miles from the Red River for almost 30 years now. And never heard of it when I was living North of the River. But, there are some strange people around here.

At least it has brisket drippings in it.

That almost seems like putting beans....

On a quick first glance I thought you may be making a trip up this way. I was gonna invite you to stop by for an afternoon...we could wet a line in my pond and see if the bass are biting. I wonder how brown gravy would go on those. :w00t:

Edit: I just read through the second link you posted and saw this. That would explain the strangeness.
