Saturday morning
Prep - Noxzema & hot towel
Lather - Mitchell's Wool Fat & suribachi
Brush - Culmak SM2 w/ Omega 10065 knot @ 47mm
Razor - Packwood 13/16

Warm water rinse & cold water splash
Alum block & Witch-hazel AS
Light rain and mild here this morning, 38ºF/3ºC. High near 50ºF/10ºC this afternoon with a stiff breeze, 25-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Maybe a lil' snow tonight...if we're lucky. A very nice shave this morning. The Packwood is a pleasure to use, partially because it's so old but also it's a nice smooth blade, plus it's a bit longer than most razors, so that's a lil' bit of it too. The Mitchell's was aces, as ever, and the new/old Culmak seems like it'll make for a real workhorse of a brush - just what I was hoping to see.

Shave after afternoon gym + Glycerin soap face lather and rinse
Razorock Fine American Blend shave soap
Restored Rubberset M200 brush with badger knot
Hart Steel 6/8" straight razor in 2 passes
Cool washcloth rinse
Fine aftershave splash
First shave with the new (sale-priced) Hart, what a great razor!
And also first shave with Razorock Fine AB shave soap, courtesy of Pat.
This RR soap is OK, but not the scent nor performance of it's others, IMO.
Mr. Fine's barbershoppy aftershave is really nice, as usual.
