Matt - Nice write up and photo...

Since you commented on the write-up, I assume this is regarding me. I don't know if there's more than one Matt in here or not.

Thank you, skypsyd!

SUNDAY SOTD :: April 10, 2016

The Blades Grim Smolder pre-shave oil
PAA Sancre de Draco soap
Beaver Woodwright Orion's Nebula Silvertip brush
Blackland Blackbird razor
Polsilver blade (3)
Thayers Witch Hazel Lavender
Nivea ASB

For some reason I've not used the Blackbird lately. This morning I realized it was only my third shave with it. It's a fine razor and gives me no problems, even when I thought I had slipped up a couple of times ... but not a hint of blood or irritation. I do wish that I had purchased the long handled version of the Blackbird, or perhaps both. Today was only my second lathering with the Sancre de Draco. Though I think I started with a tad too much water it provided ample cushion and slickness. I'll give the Polsilver at least one more shot before I think about changing it; it felt a bit draggy -- something I hadn't experienced before with any other Polsilver. All-in-all it was another fine shave. Thinking on it, I don't believe I've had a bad shave for awhile ... not since my last venture with the Futur. But as I indicated yesterday, it's time to give that beast another try. I do want to use a few of the vintage DEs I haven't tried before and I've got several Schick injectors, GEMs and Ever-Ready SEs that I have yet to blade. We'll see.
