I purchased the flair tip Gillette on EBay and it arrived yesterday. It'll be a gift for my son-in-law, but I checked it out first. Got a nice shave, had to work a little to get DFS. I think it will be a good starter razor.
Sorry guys, haven't been able to keep up. Got the flu, bronchitis, or some type of respiratory wickedness going on. Had it for 4 days now.
Really wanted to shave yesterday morning, but was afraid I'd fall and cut my throat with the straight.
Was able to finally shave about 9 last night. Thought I was getting better. Alas, it was not to be.
So I will just share the tools and the process. Don't have the energy right now to do the picture thing.

Ended up with a very nice CCS. If my muddled mind's observations are correct, the Dorco is much smoother out of the gate than the Feather. The feather is definitely sharper. But it is more audible as well, and a bit "rough" cutting wise, for lack of a better word. Not uncomfortable, by any means. No pulling or tugging. But the word "smooth" certainly describes the characteristics of the
Dorco in relation to the Feather.
I believe the Feather gives a bit closer shave, and I got 4 days out of it. I normally only get 3 out of the Dorcos, but we shall see.
I did one pass with the straight. Still need to work on my technique, but I may be relegating the straight to weekend duty, or at least only once or twice a week. The constant stropping is killing my arthritis and nerve damaged hands and fingers. But I'll reserve judgement on that for a bit. I really want to get my technique down with it, first. If I am able.
Two passes with the DE.
A shave really made me feel good, and helped me to rest last night, thank God.
Have a great shave, all of you. Keep posting the wonderful pics. My sophomoric efforts will return as soon as possible.

2nd time with the injector razor. Very nice 3-pass shave. I'm beginning to appreciate the efficiency of these injector razors. The Super Smooth soap was amazing, Darron has nailed the "Old Spice" scent.

Horrible lather, decided after I tried that it must be a brushless shaving cream. It has a nice glide, just no lather.
