Top-level pics gentlemen!

This afternoon after running a half Marathon:

--Gillette Tech 1947

--Timor blade

--Simpson B1 badger

--Taylor's avocado cream

--Musgo Real balm

Just great!

Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 7/8" Henckels Friodur #17 Stainless Steel INOX, Full Hollow, Spike Point
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip
Überlather: Floris "JF" Shave Creme + Floris "JF" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
Cologne: Alt Innsbruck EdC
Results: It had been awhile since I had used this wonderful blade. A few minutes on the Escher last night and she was ready to perform. And perform, she did. With the cushion provided by the Floris SS/SC combo, this blade had a field day with the second set of stubble in 2011. Touch down...BBS all over

. And to seal the deal, a little Alt Innsbruck/Trumper mix was used to finish this beautiful shave.

I know, I know. I am still in Christmas mode

(as evident from my picture). Decorations are still up and won't come down until after the 6th, which is when we Armenians celebrate Christmas. Historically, all Christian churches celebrated Christ's birth on January 6th until the fourth century. The date was changed from January 6th to December 25th in order to override a pagan feast dedicated to the birth of the Sun which was celebrated on December 25th.

Have a FABULOUS Sunday guys

First shave of the new year, even though I didn't really need it :D

Razor: Boker Red Injun
Cream: Olivia's Marrakesh
After shave lotion: Olivia's Marrakesh
Strop: Kanayama 50,000
Brush: Bock Slivertip

My ladies were a little under the weather, and I was feeling the Chinese-medicinal feeling of the Marrakesh was just the thing to freshen things up. This is Ray's other razor I need to get back to him... Done on the same glass stone progression as his Torrey - 2K, 4K, gray, 6K gray, 10K, and 30K Glass, then 5 on the canvas and 25 on the leather of the Kanayama 50,000. I usually don't like hollow grounds, but this razor is a keeper!

My wife's Dickens Village, "A Christmas Carol Revisited," will be coming down this week, and since it's so much work to set up and take down every year, I decided to milk the backdrop for one last photo..

The KB will be set aside now in favor of another deserving edge, but it and the Proraso products teamed up for an unbeatable shave!

Ecellent Tom ...but, I must say "needing" a shave should never be the driving force to shave...A shave should be based on "want"
