So, this is my first ever attempt at SOTD so any feedback is welcome.

Here it goes:

PREP- shower

SHAVE- Geo F. Trumper's coconut oil shave cream
Edwin Jagger super badger brush
Merkur HD with Wilkinson Sword blade

AFTERSHAVE- Proraso after shave balm

My shave today was very good, as it always is with the Trumper's coconut. I managed a smooth shave in all but a few trouble areas, so it seems like a successful outing for what is probably my favourite shave cream so far.

I've always liked browsing the SOTD thread, but this is my first post on it. I will try to keep on posting, especially on days that I have an interesting shave (I often experiment with different techniques, etc.).

I'm sorry in advance if my future posts do get a bit boring as I haven't got a huge variety of shaving stuff. Indeed, the EJ super badger has so far prevented SBAD onset and I use the Proraso ASB almost every day, they are both great in my uneducated opinion. I will be getting a new razor soon though...

I never thought I'd say this, but ... for me, QED's Fresh Lime soap out-limes Castle Forbes. In scent as well as quality.

two days growth of beard, decided to use my recently aquired never used fat handle Gillette Tech, with a Feather Hi-Stainless blade.

Pre wash with Olive oil soap.
Lather with Speick shave cream
Shower after shave.

what a wonderful shave, the razor was light as a feather and scythed through my beard, no nicks, two passes for a BBS shave.

Really impressed with this tech shaver, my others are a Progress and New open comb, the Tech is the smoothest so far.
