Smoked Salt

Came across a crockpot recipe for beef back ribs. This particular recipe calls for smoked salt, which I have never used before, but picked up a hickory smoked salt made by Spice Islands.

I believe that this salt, along with some smoked paprika, will impart a nice smoked flavor to the ribs.

My question is this.

For what other purposes do YOU use this salt? Realizing it can be used for many things such as, fish, vegetables, hamburgers, etc, just looking for tried and true uses.

Thanks gents!

When I make a 'Tex Mex' style beef marinade, always use Maldon smoked sea salt flakes. I have tried it in a simple oil and lemon dressing, I liked it but the missus did not so that has not been repeated.

I make a fig chicken dish that's served over Egg noodles. Smoked salt is outstanding sprinkled over a plate of that. We also add it to bowls of ham & bean stew. My wife puts it on more stuff than that but I can't remember exactly what.
