At last, an expert opinion!

I appear to be a minority of one on the whole "Kiwi--good or bad" question, so I'll leave you to the pollish you enjoy, and go back to my non-kiwi jars ... alone ... (snif)

When I was polishing boots I had in my box (all kiwi) black, parade gloss, ox blood, and neutral. We found that the neutral and ox blood deepend the shine. Never used spit, just added water to the top of the tin.

From the Jarhead side of things, we were issued that Lincoln crap, we all felt it was too dry and hard. I always used kiwi. Everyone I knew in the Corps used Kiwi

I could never get that mirror shine some guys could, I tried everything, spit, water, distilled water, flame, combinations of all three.
Don't get me wrong I could make my boots look great, but they never had that mirror finish (unless I dropped them off to be shined by the guy at the barber shop :) )
