Two razors? Yes, I was doing an A-B comparison.



Conclusion: Despite having a smaller blade gap, the VB1 is noticeably more agressive.

Started with my Heljestrand oc with RiteAid Helping Hand shimmed blade.

The horror! I haven't experienced such tug in a really long time. Switched to the original MK blade. I am still in the process of honing (passes hht) and it was WAY smoother even though I don't have it at the level of my straights yet! The GEMs must be better than the Helping Hand and will try them next. I thought the HH blade was carbon, which I prefer to stainless in a straight most of the time...

Finished with my Ikon OSS oc-side with an Astra on its 10th shave and it was way smoother.
