More than any other character, he immediately set the tone for what kind of place we were dealing with as the concierge at the Continental Hotel in the John Wick series.
A place for those with plenty of disposable income, a place that was respectful of privacy, and very intolerant of rule breakers.
Though not a huge part, the films would have been so much less without him. As fantastic a performance as any he has done.
