Refillable Highlighter

Looking for recommendations on a refillable highlighter. Noodler's has some highlighter ink I'd like to try, but I don't have a pen with a broad enough nib to really highlight anything. I'd also like to hear recommendations on other highlighter inks that anyone has had a positive experience with.

I don't know of any specifically marketed as such, other than the Pelikan M205 Duo Highlighter. It looks just like a standard M200, but only comes with a BB nib, so I suppose you could use the Noodler's with any BB nib to do the trick. I know Montblanc makes highlighters, but I don't think they are refillable.

Now, I have since gotten a bottle of their "Firefly" and it is wonderful.

I use a Pilot Parallel 3.8mm, eyedroppered, and it works fantastically. http://www.jetpens.com/Pilot-Parallel-Calligraphy-Pen-3.8-mm-Nib-Width/pd/891

I find that you need the eyedropper capacity for any serious amount of highlighting, as that wide of a nib is very thirsty.

New to fountain pen lingo. What is "eyedroppered?"
No filling mechanism (cartridge, converter, piston, lever, button, etc.) The body of the pen is the ink reservoir. The nib and grip section unit is unscrewed, and the pen barrel is filled via an eyedropper or syringe. It can only be done on pens that have a sealed barrel and normally with no metal parts that would be in contact with the ink (because of potential corrosion). The threading on the barrel and section also has to have tight tolerances to prevent leakage. Frequently, silicone grease is used to help with the sealing.

One frequent problem with some (but not all) eyedroppered pens is ink "burping", particularly when the level of the ink gets low and the heat from your hand causes the air inside the barrel to expand, resulting in ink being forced out (usually onto your pants or a companion's shirt sleeve).

The Goulets sell Noodler's highlighter ink and some options include a highlighter pen. The Platinum Preppy Highlighter pens are $3 and are refillable, worst-case.

Fairly close to my set-up. Pilot Parallel 3.8mm with the converter that came with the pen. I use Noodler's Hellfire (red/pink). Outstanding results on Rhodia notebook.

Do it. All are attainable at Goulet Pens.
