Quite a surprise...

A buddy of mine brought me his Glock 19 (1980s LEO issued) with the brass from a round that broke the extractor. I've ordered the extractor and it should be an easy fix for the Glock, but I am curious as to exactly what caused this damage. My guess is either a double charged hand load or it was way over crimped. Notice the flared brass at the back of the case. That took some serious pressure.

Surprised that only the extractor got broken.
