Pen and ink shops outside

I am traveling outside (an Alaskan term meaning anywhere but Alaska - some hardcore Sourdoughs consider Anchorage outside :biggrin1:)* in about three weeks. Does anyone know of any B&M stores for pens and inks in the San Diego and Las Vegas areas? And please don't send me to West Coast Shaving - my 2015 Shave Purchase Restraint couldn't handle that much temptation.
Also, are there any pen shows going on in those places in February?

*What's the best thing about Anchorage? It's only a couple hour drive from Alaska!
A (very) little Alaskan humor for you.

It's a destination but I don't know about exotic, lol. That designation is usually reserved for Hawaii.

*Happy post #800 to me :a54:

This and this is like saying "I'm on a diet, so please don't serve me any cheeseburgers ... now, how about a giant slice of cake and ice cream?"

Nothing in San Diego worth checking out (maybe Warwicks in La Jolla). I don't know of much in Vegas either, though I'm reasonably certain that there will be higher-end stores that may sell FPs.

Thanks for the link Ray Guy. We'll actually be in El Cajon which is right next door to Lakeside. May be worth it to see if I can find some slack time and make it over there.

You may want to look at this link http://www.gowithpostal.com/review-ron-meloches-gallery-9926/ for a small shop in Lakeside Ca. It's about 25 miles northeast of the S.D. airport. The link is to a review of a small shop that does mostly repairs, but sells some vintage pens as well.

Oh right, that's Ron Meloche. We have a monthly pen meetup there. He's great, and he will be at the LA show in February. If you're around the first weekend of February let me know; I can give you details on the meetup.
