Between the 1911 and the .50cal BMG, I would have to say John Browning was an absolute genius at designing stuff that never goes out of style or obsolete.

My all time favorite handgun. The plain Government Model with walnut grips and blued is also one of the most aesthetically pleasing to me.
 
I own SW1911PD Tactical gun and a pair of 1917s revolvers. God bless the 45 it stops even the stubbornist of zombies!

Speaking of 50 CAL's I got to see some folks shoot a pair of deuces tonight! love that full auto, thump thump thump thump...

My father has a Remington Rand I might try to talk him out of one of these days for a price. I wish I never wouldve sold my Para Ordnance P12 Limited. I loved the double stack.
