Hard to say...If the brush was made after 1948 and before 1990, it should read Made in W-Germany, or West Germany. After 1990 the West was dropped as the country was re-unified. However, I am not sure how the socialist Germany state, i.e. GDR or DDR in German, marked their wares, but I think they just used Made in Germany. So this could be an eastern German brush, like Muehle was before the reunification.
