MdC is top notch. I've never had a bad shave with it.

I’ve just joined the club with lemon. My question is what is the consensus on lathering. The directions indicate that you should put a small amount of the cream on top or center of the brush and lather on your face.
I take this to mean not to load off the puck which is what I usually do. I’d appreciate any feedback and advice. Thanks.

I've always loaded the brush off the puck.
Soak the brush, put a spoon of water on the puck to "bloom", squeeze water out of brush, swirl brush on soap puck for 8-10 seconds and then move to bowl or face to complete lather development. Add water as needed via dipping the brush tips in water or adding drips of water to a bowl to get the level of hydration and slickness where you want it.
It's a really hard soap, so I don't bother scooping any out of the puck. One of my pucks lasted me several years.

I load off the puck. I dont bother blooming, just go at it with a damp brush. Several swirls and then on to the face. Add water as I am scrubbing/painting until it is the required consistency. Works every time. Great soap.

Yep. I also swirl a wet brush without blooming.
Always remember these two things about building a good lather. First, blooming your soap works really well. Second, not blooming your soap works just as well.

First shave in the books in the rarified air of mdc
Wonderful lather. Super abundant slick and cushioned.
The scent stays through the 3 pass shave. I just loaded off the puck. Didn’t do anything beyond my normal procedure. Probably beginners luck where I got the water amount just right.
