FREEZE-OUT SUNDAY SHAVE

Coffee: Rainforest Espresso
Pre-Shave: Face lather wash with Dr. Tozzi Eucalyptus Soap; Hot towel soak
Shave Oil: Menthol & Tea Tree Oil blend
Shave Soap: My Time Menthol (10) lathered in warm glass bowl
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech
Blade: Astra SP (6)
After Shave: Alum + Pinaud Classic Vanilla


Two passes w/ little touch-up. DFS ! OMG!!! The My Time Menthol (PIF from EastTexasMan) is an absolute freezer... My face was cool for 45 minutes ater the shave was over - Just amazing!!! The scent is misleading - No camphor type scenting... Profs to EastTexasMan for the generous PIF... Also included the Semogue brush used. The Tech + Astra on the sixth shave was still quite acceptable... Time for anew blade though...

I NEED TO GET BACK TO WORK THIS WEEK SO I CAN REST...

Now that I've found the joy of shaving with Italian soaps I find it hard to want to let this thread die off.... Today's shave was amazing! I set out a case of water in the sun for about an hour to let it heat up really nice. Soaked the brush and applied some Proraso Crema Pre E Dopo Barba. Put in a new Personna platinum blade in the gillet.

Omega boar explosivley loaded with RazoRock XxX (excellent stuff btw) followed up with cold water splash and RazoRock Alum with Proraso Crema Liquida Doppbarba. Shave was by far the best I've had since arriving to Afghanistan. Thanks for all the fine reviews I read here about the Italian soft soaps I've tried Cella and XxX with Vitos, P160 Tipo Morbido and Valobra all on standby awaiting my whim to open them and give them their fair shake. I don't know that I'll ever need anything other than these soft soaps. Floid blue is on my list to get when I get back stateside...
