Received this razor, another ebay "score" (I say with full awareness of my RAD - razor acquisition disorder).
This is a "650 Rich Brand" razor - possibly made by Master Shiozawa Tadaaki - verified to have made "88 Rich Brand" (Iwasaki - https://historyrazors.wordpress.com/2016/12/08/iwasaki/). The back side of the tang just says "teuchi" - "hand made" from what I've been able to investigate.
This is a 7/8 near wedge razor and very heavy for me. I bought this to experience the Japanese made, Swedish steel, and frankly tempted because of the potential relationship to Tanifuji - twice removed?
Can anyone with more knowledge shed some light on the history of this razor and what I can relatively expect from this one?
