I know, it sounds crazy. But it happened! I went to a household sale and picked up these beauties.
The one on the left is a 1959 and the one on the right is a 1961. The '51 was used a little more, but the case looks a little worse for the wear and the left hinge is broken so the thing won't stay closed. The '61 is damn near to totally unused, the only sign that it ever got used is a slight soap film. Boy did I walk away from this sale with a big grin on my face!
Oh, and I threw in two bottles of vintage British Sterling AS that I didn't photograph. Total of seven bucks for EVERYTHING!
