I would appreciate it if someone who has posted a test picture or photo would PM me and explain a simple way to post a photo on the forum. I would be profoundly indebted.

the ways are numerous, 6 one way and half dozen another....
you can post pics on the B&B gallery, then copy image location (firefox, not sure about IE) - the gallery is under the more with down triangle at top of page
you can post pics to Flickr, Photobucket and the like, then use same method as above
post as an attachment, click the "paperclip" in the toolbar of message box, choose pic, attach - downside to this method is image always shows up at bottom of message, upside is not having to upload to online gallery
I'm sure there are others, these are just the ones I use
