So when things get a little slow up here in the mountains, it seems something or someone knows just how to pick up the pace. Here is today‘s (once a week) local paper:

Well, Tim. We gotta do what we gotta do ...

Lucky it's deer. After Hurricane Andrew (cat 5, South Miami, 1993) we had monkeys infected with AIDS virus running loose from the University of Miami's lab. They got blasted. I never saw one but did see golden pheasants and other weird birds from the wrecked Metrozoo aviary. Gunshots rang out merrilly night after night, but then again, it WAS Miami.
