As for me, I have a simpler solution - I use shave oil to shave around the goatee area (I like my lines perfectly straight!), and once done I lather up and don't have to worry about it.

Now that is a thoughtful solution.

I have a goatee too. I always shave by feel--never by sight. I don't seem to have any problems with the goatee area. I think the goatee itself keeps the razor where it's supposed to be...

There is a zillion guys out there with a goatee & they choose a clean shaven guy & ad a (badly) photoshopped ebard on him. Why

And its not even a goatee, its a circle beard. A true goatee covers just the chin.

Anyhow, when I wear some sort of facial hair, I always go by feel. And my lines are razor sharp. No pun intended.....
