Gentlemen's aftershave?

in your opinion which aftershave do you think is closest to a true gentlemen's choice.
it has to be both masculine and "gentle". if you think they don't exist name a cologne please.

After trying a vast number of AS splashes, I finally settled for Knize 10 for winter and Penhaligon's English Fern for summer. Caveat: both are a bit on the expensive side.

Aqua Velva and Jovan Musk are 2 of my favorites, and both smell manly if I do say so myself.
