Gelling a prickly shaving brush?

Just wondering if anybody has ever tried to improve a very stubbornly prickly badger shaving brush, by gelling the tips.

Yes, and it did not work. I used the same procedure and chemicals that were shown in a video a few years back. One of my former Chinese supplier was screwing me over after sending a few times good quality knots. But then the last delivery was horrible scritchy, prickly, whatever one may call it. And although I tried the process on several knots, some even multiple times, they did not get soft, or usable. They were as prickly after the procedure as before. Makes some nice dust brushes for cars or keyboards...

I recall there was a website that offered to gel shaving brush knots- I can’t seem to find it, and as I bc am getting old, it’s more difficult ti keep track of,
Maybe someone else can chime in
