EU-only shaving brush?

An elephant ivory handled brush with papers that do not allow it to be sold outside of the EU:

I wonder if Plisson ivory brushes are also EU-restricted? Once purchased within the EU, can these brushes be brought elsewhere? Does anyone have any ideas?

Not too sure I'd want something like that in the den. Makes me feel a little dicky. Must be my age as I'm of that age where ivory is a bad thing. The two band brush is a nice shape though.

No reason why it can't be shipped outside the EU, provided that it meets the destination country's requirements for the importation of ivory. Usually requires a lot of paperwork proving the ivory predates the international ivory ban.

I am amazed it could be imported *in* the EU in the first place. Unless it is old ivory that was brought into Europe years ago already.

The certificate shown dates 04 Sept 1985. I'm not sure though when the ban was enacted.

I just pulled up plisson & saw no restrictions on buying their ivory brush. For about 2000 euros & its yours.
