Checking in and Seeking a Little Advice

I have to second the above; you have to experiment to find what works best for YOU There are so many variables out there. I started with a Rolls Viscount, and over the past 60+ years have tried many others from time to time, but keep going back to the ancient and honorable Rolls.

That is my taste, may not be yours.

I'm just hoping to narrow the variables down to blades and soaps on the first go round. Hopefully the razor and brush will work out for me...

If not, I'm sure I could trade either razor on the boards.

Why not buy a DE89 (head only) from The English Shaving Co and have it sent to cooncatbob for one of his beautiful handles? Or, is this too advanced for a newb(I'm asking because I'm one too)?

I just ordered the DE89L and a blade sample pack. Can't wait till they get here! I'm a new college grad. Gunna wait till I get a job to pull the trigger on the $100 brush.
