Mucho chatter on various websites/forums regarding the Tisas line of 1911 pistols. Seems the general consensus is they are a LOT of pistol for the money. The WWII military buffs are especially complimentary when discussing the semi-replica models.
I was getting kind of a “too good to be true” vibe about the Tisas pistol offerings overall. Then…..
I stumble on to a sale and a half. Tisas .45 Tank Commander (Cerakote) brand new in box for less than $300.
Only thing I could think of is that Tisas is possibly discontinuing the Commander in Cerakote, replacing that model with a Parkerized version. Seems the WWII history fans truly dig Parkerized stuff.
The “too good to be true” tune has gotten a lot louder….but the LGS opens at 9 am.
Anyone have any first hand experience with these Turkish Delights?
I know how the 1911 specimens from Kimber, Ruger (just peachy), and Colt (not so peachy) perform. Never shot a Tisas. For the price here though it’s very, very tempting.
