Curious, what did you use to clean that Aristocrat? I ask because I picked one up tonight . 30's open comb like yours. It'll need cleaning, then I'll consider if it needs replating too. I paid considerably more than you, but then I also had lots of competition.

BTW, even though it'd look like new re-plated, you need to understand that doing so kills originality and some of the collectible value (from what I've read here).

Any way you slice it, great score!!

I soaked it in Simply Green and then would scrub it with an old Oral-B electric toothbrush and polish it. Soak again. Repeat.

Thanks for that, I'll try the same (not sure mine is in as good a shape as yours). Just love that barber pole pattern on the handle. And glad to hear they shave well. You've got a great find there!
